Pack 1 5 is over 20 years old and located in South Charlotte at 4200 McKee Road at St. Francis UMC across from McKee Road Elementary. We have a year-round program that offers fun activities that promote character and leadership development. Our program is designed to be hands-on, where parents are expected to play an active role.

Scouting embraces the outdoors through camping, hiking, climbing and water sports. We also focus on helping our communities through service projects building confident kids through our wide-range of activities.

Cub Scouts are for boys and girls grades K–5th:

Dens:

Tigers – 1st Grade

Wolves – 2nd Grade

How Scouting works

The Scouting program is delivered through local civic, faith-based, and educational institutions called chartered organizations, which operate Scouting units to deliver the programs to their youth members, as well as the community at large.

Together, these organizations are run by almost one million adult volunteers dedicated to helping youth learn and grow.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Scouting promotes activities that lead to personal responsibility and high self-esteem. As a result, when hard decisions have to be made, peer pressure can be resisted and the right choices can be made.

Cub Scouts enjoy outdoor experiences as they participate in the variety of activities such as field trips, hikes, nature and conservation experiences, and outdoor games.

Cub Scouting means “doing” – from camping to hiking to going on field trips or doing projects that help your hometown and the people who live there. In Cub Scouting, children and their families have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values.
